The Magic of Lanterns – Montreal Monday’s

To mark its 20th anniversary, the Chinese Garden at the Montréal Botanical Garden is inviting Montrealers of all ages to enjoy the 19th edition of The Magic of The Lanterns, on the theme of “The First Emperor’s Procession”. The glittering spectacle has been going on since September 9th and will continue to take place until October 31st, 2011. With close to 200 thematic lanterns paying tribute to China’s first Emperor, Qin Shi Huangdi, and his impressive cavalry. Various elements inspired by this larger than life individual (a section of the Great Wall and several musical instruments) will introduce visitors to the story of this Emperor. The Botanical Garden will remain open until 9pm daily from September 9th to October 31st for the occasion.
